What is the mission of IACTED?

The Indiana Association for Career and Technical Education Districts (IACTED) is a professional organization of Indiana Area Vocational Districts which promotes, facilitates, and supports the continued improvement of Career and Technical Education (CTE) in the state of Indiana.
3. How many students are enrolled in CTE in Indiana?
There are 109,096 secondary students enrolled in CTE in Indiana.
4. How many Federal and State dollars does Indiana receive per year?
Indiana receives approximately $81,814,250  from the State plus ADM  $13,000,000 Federal.
5. Is there a follow-up study done on secondary CTE students?
Yes, a local follow-up study is done on all secondary graduates on a one in three year basis.  The local study is completed by the Department of Workforce Development.  Indiana University does a long range longitudinal study of graduates.

Professional Development Collaboration Opportunities
IACTED sponsors a variety of professional development seminars each year on pertinent topics of interest for members.

Regional Meetings
Meetings are conducted in each of IACTED's three regions throughout the year, allowing for networking and interaction among CTE colleagues.

The IACTED Annual Meeting
Our Annual Meeting is held each year in early June, as part of a two-and-a-half-day Summer Retreat. The conference draws around 100 CTE educators and features professional development and planning sessions. The primary purpose of the conference is to promote and share best practices.

The Pyramid Newsletter
The Association's newsletter is communicated to members approximately nine times each year and addresses contemporary issues in the field of school management and educational leadership. IACTED members are invited to contribute articles to The Pyramid newsletter. School, student, and program success stories are emphasized.

An Annual Membership Directory (members)
Our membership directory is regularly updated and it includes names, addresses, telephone and fax numbers, and email addresses for active members.

Informational Email Updates (members)
The IACTED Executive Director reports on the activities of the Indiana General Assembly during the legislative session and other IACTED events throughout the year. These messages are sent directly to members' e-mail addresses on an as-needed basis. If you are an IACTED member and wish to receive these messages, inform us at: mthompson@iacted.com.
